i dont consider the delph a dive. sorry but thats a fact. its a muddy puddle i went in and got bored by.
and so silty you cant see a sodding thing.
try the salty stuff.

Proving you can UK dive in a wetsuit, one week at a time
Here's a 'fact' I was once told
A Scubapro service agent said that whilst Scubapro maintain that they did away with the enviromental sealing because filling it with the silicon and sealing it with the rubber boot was 'messy', the real reason was that they could not get the advertised massive flow rates this way with the newly introduced Mk20's, so had to have it open to the elements.
Those that remember the Mk10 will know it had the greasy boot seal, and in fact the Atomic is an updated Mk10 design - very similar in most respects. Early Mk20's have small ambient pressure holes and there was briefly an enviromental rubber seal in the catalogue to go with it so less chance of the silicon coming out- blink and you would have missed it, 1996 I think!
But since the Mk10 provided more than enough gas for any diver the higher flows of the Mk20/25 are just good for brochures, and you wouldn't notice any difference
You just need to make sure the interstage pressure is correct with different makes and tune the two together so you don't get the poppet lifting off the valve seat in the 2nd stage.
And just go diving!![]()
Please do not ask me to buddy with you, as my reply could cause offence!
Paul C. i bet he wished he could get wet in the sea but as i live near eccy delph he will have the same problem as me.
I have at least a 2 hour drive to the salty stuff were i could dive.
Paul - as Barbel says, the sea is a long way for me, and although I would go whenever possible, the club during the winter doesn't do much sea diving. And as far as visibility goes, the past few weeks its been great - a damn sight better than Menai was on New Year's Eve.
To be fair Paul, he is two years too young to drive and at least he is getting his head under which is no bad thing in the early days no matter where it is.
I live 5 mins from the harbour but have only managed 2 dives this year due to weather so you are ahead of me Fishy![]()
Actually 3 years now - they're upping the driving age to 18![]()
Not in the near future....
Driving Age Rumours
Yeythanks for that - that's made my day.
FFS give the guy a break he's here to ask questions, so let him ask and give him useful information rather than telling him what constitutes a proper dive or not. I suspect if you try to breath underwater anywhere without kit you'll drown, so it's a bloody dive!
