Poseidon Cyclon 300 reg - Will it work

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if a poseidon 300 1st stage will work okay with my cyklon 5000 regs as i am looking for a 1st stage for part of a twin set and i was told that only poseidon 1st stages should be used with the regs.
Cheers Lee
