Not sure if its the law or not. There have been discussions on here before though and people have mentioned emergency services would like to know in the event of you being in an accident what you have in the car.

I always make sure I have one on my car. I use a removable one. Make sure you are insured as well, some companies dont insure the carriage of diving cylinders!

This might sound like a silly question, but i'll ask it anyway. I have just bought a cylinder which has a Nitrox sticker on it. Do i need to change this sticker to a 'breathing air' sticker to get a fill of breathing air or nitrox upto 40%?

Taff,
no if a cylinder is marked as a "nitrox" cylinder then you can get it filled with "Nitrox 21" which is also known as air. However it is good practice to put a piece of tape on the cylinder stating what gas is in it. Eg, my Nitrox cylinders have the relavent Nitrox sticker on them + a piece of tape with "32%, 11-9-05, SGA" written on it. This tells me that the cylinder contains Nitrox 32, and was analysed by SGA (me) when it was filled on 11-9-05.

Thanks but if i get normal breathing air into my Nitro labeled tank, then whats stopping me from putting Nitrox (40 % +) in it after without getting it O2 cleaned. After all, it would till have the original Nitrox clean sticker on it.
