Question Apeks DS4 Routing problems vs MK25s???

I was in my local LDS today enquiring about regs for the imminent twinset and asked them about their thoughts on DS4s. The reply I got somewhat perplexed me especially after reading many a good thing about them on here.

Basically I was recommended to go for scubapro MK25s rather than the DS4s because of the lack of swivel turret on DS4s meaning that hose routing was a problem. I have not read about any one on here experiencing problems with routing from a pair of DS4s so would be grateful of a bit of advice.

Thanks

Mark

Go for the DS4's. The routing is perfect. You don't need a swivel turret. The DS4's are easy to service, easy to adjust, parts are readily available and they're cheap.

In fact, the last time I bought some DS4's they were nearly a third of the price of the MK25's. Perhaps that is why your LDS wanted to sell you them?

I just spent £65 for a new DS4. I have a DST and a DS4. I have to say the DS4 is probably the easier one to work with.....but they have yet to get wet

That's a good price! Last time I bought some I paid around £70 and I thought that was a good deal.

I personally use Scubapro but that's because those were the regs myself and the missus got when we started diving.
