Stainless steel twinning bands.

If you were selling your twin cylinders to buy another set would you expect to keep your twinning bands in order to fit on your next twin set or expect to let them go as part of the deal?

This is just a question about what is the norm.

Sell them with the cylinders and get some decent ones on your next set would be my recommendation.

What if you already own some Agir Brokk's. You'd be more likely to sell your granny with them than let those go.

If I was buying a twinset, i'd expect it to have bands on yes. Why dismantle something to sell it when whoever buys it will have to buy a new replacement for that part you kept?
If you sold a car you wouldn't take the seats out and expect the new buyer to buy their own, would you?
If you do have some really really nice bands that you want to keep then by all means buy the new ones yourself and put some cheapy crappy ones on the set you're selling, but i'd expect you'd lose quite a bit of value trying to sell without them, as well as the potential for damage to the twinset, especially if someone has to move it when they buy it, with no bands on.

Unhappy bands

if you mean to tell me that you are removing those nice agir's from your 10's then i suppose you've removed the nice knobs as well ! i'm only going to be interested (in the 10's) if you've left the furry dice on ! lol

How can you sell twins without the 'thing-that-makes-them-twins' being there? They are just 2 cylinders and a manifold then

Also, if you are selling twins it is probably for 2 reasons:
1) you are going over to the 'yellow side'
or
2) you are changing the size of your cylinders.

Either way, IMO, you would have no use for the bands on your current set.

Regards

Mark

I wouldn't. If the cans have got too old replace them only.

Depends on the bands.

ebay to sell. ebay for cheap bands (to replace or whatever).

Unless you were going fromn 10's to 12's in which case the bands are usually the same size - just the cylinders are longer.

Still - I wouldn't buy a twinset without bands as it isn't.

A twinset that is.

Well, it is cheap stuff and it comes almost from the local gardening store, but it works fine and it's very solid. We tried to destroy one by hitting it with a hammer... we succeeded but we really had to hit it hard - http://www.stde.ch/en/faq.php

depends one whether your morivation is a quicksell/high price or just to get shot (of them).

If you want to shift them quickly or for better moeny then including the bands will make them a more attractive proposition. If you just want to get shot of them and are not too fussed on the money then you could keep the bands (esp is the cyls are twin booted).

This is based on trolling ebay for twins over the last few months, 'complete' sets went faster for more and incomplete sets still went but for £50 to £100 less.

as said above...if you want to keep ur bands, replace them on the set with some cheapy ones. otherwise leave them on.
