Been advised to look at both packages the XTX200 Apex and the Scuba R25 range. Although I do like the ATX200 range still although like rocking horse to get in OZ.

XTX is reversable second stage otherwise much the same as old stuff. Both Apeks and SP are good kit although internationaly Apeks can be a bit harder to find/service. I'd have either. Apeks after-sales (if you ever need it) is unbeatable.

Both you mention are top of the range stuff and way, way out of my price range!! But at that level the new Aqua-Lung Legend is worth a look too.

At the end of the day I'd have to agree with chrisch - both top end regs that will do you proud.

If you do go for Scubapro - I'd advise sticking with the s600 rather than the x650. The x650 is amazing but it can be a bit tempermental at times.

There really isn't all that much difference between the DST and the TX200 bar hose routing and one internal part so I've never really been able to justify that leap. That said, if your orifice goes in the DST you do need a new body, whereas on the 200s at least they finally made the orifice removable. The XTX is the only Apeks reg I have yet to service in the shop so I can't say much about that....

The XTX is also a bit clunkier than the MK25/S600, so that could be something to consider if you travel a lot with your kit.

Either way you're getting class.
