Angry Cylinder paint which ?

Ok my own fault one of my 3L rebreather cylinders obviously wasn't done up tight enough and has rubbed of the paint down to bare metal ,so obviously I need to shot blast the affected area to remove rust etc but what paint do I use afterwards ?

What? Just rub the excess rust off with your fingernail then a bit of nailvarnish will cover it up. Unless it's excessive I wouldn't worry. I'm presuming it's rubbed on the case, it shouldn't be that bad.

Ermmm no it's actually in a KT frame with Johns single tank holders with twin cam bands & the bottom band was obviouslly loose enough to take it to bare metal on an area about 2inch x 1 inch .Unfortunately it was sat on the boat for 2 days before I got back to pick it up so has started to get some surface rust

Hi Colin,
The last few tanks I've painted, I just rubbed them down with wirewool & thinners, sprayed on primer then enamel paint...had no probs yet...touch wood
