| Scubapro M25 vs M17 Hi there I am a new diver with about 50 dives , some cold some warm, I am thinking about getting my first set of regs. I am seriously considering sucbapro and would value any advice on the M25 vs the M17 I know that scubapro are famous for piston regs but as I intend diving in Irekland I was wondering if the added security of a diaphram (M17) would be good for the cold My last dive was off Galway and it wsa snowing and was 4degrees in the water - must save up for a drysuit! thanks for any advice |

| No dry suit in 4c FT.... take a look at this site just brought a set of XTX100 +XTX40 for £289, I have to add a console but they are £50 that makes the whole package £340 inc UPS postage. Saving £100! dont know if they had scubapro but worth a look. Ron |

For a diaphraghm reg I'd go for an Apeks. As a back gas reg, a turret is no use anyway. r Paul |

When I was looking, it was suggested it wasn't a great idea. I didn't investigate further, as I tried the M17, s600, loved it and struck up a deal. Although I have seen people (particularly newer divers) get a bit confused by it. However, I do know that the M25 gives a better hose run on twins than the M17. Hindsight is a great thing - I just wish we got it sooner!

And yes, the Mk20 can be converted. It's only a couple of parts that replace the HP end bit. They even throw in a new decal to stick on the A-clamp knob - which is nice |
