Whcih 1st stage

Quick question for the masses. I'm looking at buying a set of regs either at the dive show or soon after, probably the mid-range apeks stuff ATX50/40 set. i've read plenty about these regs but not much regarding the 1st stage, I find it's often not listed when you look at buying them as a set.
Is there a standard/prefered 1st stage for this setup? I'm probably going DIN but was not sure about the different types and sizes of ports etc.
Thanks for any info.

DST for a single, DS4 for a twinset.

The T has a turret so the LP hoses can swivel. The 4 has just 4 ports in the body. DST is a good stage reg 1st stage. DS4 is good for twinset hose routing.
?TX100 and 200 1st stages are, IMHO, a waste of good beer tokens. Those FST (100) and FSR (200) ones.
If you can find anyone flogging the TX regs then buy them instead of the ATX ones. Much more bullet proof 2nd stage. The 50/40 combo is a good choice.

Who am I to argue with Woz. I shall print off this email and show it to each of the stall holders I speak to at the dive show

Thanks for the advice

An important point about the DS4 is that it has only one HP port while the DST has two. This might make a difference to you. I use two DS4s for my UK diving but on holiday I need a first stage with two HP ports so have to have one especially for going away.
