Nevoc Helium cylinder thread

Can anyone help me understand how the new nevoc male thread?

The new AP 300Bar Helium cylinders use a system I believe to be called NEVOC (New European Valve Outles Connectors). Unfortunately at the moment I can't decant as I've only bull nose & Din whip connectors.

Currently there is a reducer for supply to the welding equipment but this is a one piece unit. Therefore I need to acquire or make a connector.

A contact or a schematic to turn an adaptor would be great.

Male threads? It's not like the Drager ones is it? If so you might be able to bodge something out of a reg off a Dolphin etc. - many users swap them out because they're a pain in the arse in the middle of nowhere without an adaptor. Plus if there are adaptors it might fit. Google should be your friend on some photos.

Tried that one, didn't work wrong size. The thread is in the order of 1,1/4" or metric equivilant

Plus if there are adaptors it might fit. Google should be your friend on some photos.

I'm trying to source a O2 NEVOC connector, but in the course of investigation I have come across a couple of possible ways forward on the He side. Sub Aqua products (Sub-Aqua Products Home Page) can get the fitting made now, their supplier gets enough business for F1 inert gas users, but unfortunately not O2. I also came across this supplier http://www.butbro.co.uk/Butbro2005catalogue.pdf who will sell the connecter as a part with a 1/2" x 27 UNF on the other end.

Anyone know if there is a nevoc to din female adapter? 300 bar H3 cyls come with the NEVOC thread and SAP only has NEVOC to what looks like 1/4 BSP.

Found a solution.

You need item number 200274506082 screwed into item number 200324024159 off eBay to sort this.

UPDATE: I might have a cheap as chips source for these. Hmmmm 300 bar home blending trimix- here we come!

To the uninformed why do we need these??

Is it the suppliers are changing from bull nose to these Nevoc??

or is it the helium equivalent of the M26?? being fitted to new buddy cylinders on the dil side??
