| Imported post <font color='#000080'>I dived off our club rib this w/end for the first time in my inverted 12's and although it was a pain [had to don it at the front] with practice I'm sure it would get easier. Try the buddy twinning bands on your 12's you may be surprised how little the difference in weight feels in comparison to a 15 & pony. Safe diving, Steve.

| Imported post Thanks Julia - I found it! Question: Other than cash, why would you go for 232 7s rather than 300 7s? Having not played with 300 7s I don't know whether you can fit normal 232 gear to them - I'm assuming a DIN 1st stage will fit - not so sure about A-clamp. I'm also assuming the first stages are going to be OK taking 300, not 232. Perhaps someone out there knows? That aside, if you get 300s then at least you have the option... (Steve S - I use Buddy cam bands. Great things, just don't overtighten them...) |

| Imported post A-clamp cannot be used on 300 bar fittings - they're DIN only. If you have 232 bar DIN regs, they won't fit either - they'll be too short to seal. If you have 300 bar regs, then they'll work no problem. Unless you have a 232 bar SPG fitted to your 300 bar 1st stage I believe 300s actually allow you to remove more lead than they add weight over 232s, so overall, you have a lighter rig using 300s. But I'll stick with 232s myself. Easier to get a fill, easier to OVER-fill (if you have a key to the compressor), easier to get Nitrox fills, and lighter when you break down your gear..

| Imported post and not forgetting 300's dont hold 300 so the extra weight etc. isnt proportionally beneficial. Matt |

| Imported post Dom, just between you, me and the gatepost... How much can you get (without spooking yourself) in a 232? |
| ||||
| Imported post 276 bar - anything more and I have to adjust the compressor settings... So long as it's well under the test pressure, I'm not too fussed
