Long Hoses and Swapping Regs around

Im thinking about putting my Legend on a long hose and keeping my octopus neclaced for myself. Does anyone know if the Aqualung LX occy can have the hose swapped so it is on the left hand side?
Is this something I could do myself or am I just being stupid?

Am hoping to get a 2nd Legend LX supreme in a month or two which would replace the Lx as occy so again same question for that model?

Ideas? Anyone?

This may seem daft but couldnt you just remove the mouthpiece and re fit it the other way round?

No chap.. Some Scubapro..Apeks XTX can be swapped but not the Aqualung. Poseidons you can use either way round....... Is it for a twinset..?

I run my secondary off my left valve behind my neck round to a necklace..70cm standard hose works perfectly.

If your 1st stage is one of these;

why does it need to go over the other shoulder?

Just a thought...but you could always swap you cylinder valve to a twin outlet...H Y valve. twinset diving without the twins...its very popular on the continent so I'm told...

I have a twin valve on my 15ltr...

That's fine, if your happy then do it.

However before changing over why not take the opportunity to try running both over the right shoulder. If you like it then no need to change - if you hate it, well you were going to change anyway The main thing is that you would have given it a go and had some first hand experience to make your decision on.

Just a though.

Thanks Duck, had come to pretty much the same decision (well a mate told me to stop being soft and just do it that way ) but good to hear the same from someone else

I run a legend lx and legend octopus like you're describing. Main is on a long hose and the octo is on the original primary hose and necklaced. Works nicely. Here's a photo http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1177/...1638fc9ea3.jpg.

Play with the simplest way first before making proper changes
