Cylinder Valves

On my Luxfer 7 L Aluminium stage, which is rated to 200 bar, the valve is very notchy i.e. its either off or on 100% - there is no way to gradually turn it on. So I think the valve is either cr@p or on the way out.

I'd like to replace the valve. Is this just a matter of unscrewing the old one and screwing a new one in. And if so what are the best valves to replace it with. Any ideas who sells them?

Cheers in advance

Ian

You can just replace it with a new one, but it's best to get a dive shop to have a look at it as you may just need to have it cleaned and greased.

Beter yet, go to Mal's DIR intro gig at Stoney and get him to do it for you; he's had loads of practice
