| I dived twin 7's for years, they were a lovely set and nicely balanced, prior to that I started with a single 12 and then added a pony. Twin 7's were far nicer. Lots of ladies go the twin 7 route. |

| to provide for a redundant air source, providing you can shut down properly. Your buddy shouldnt really be your first back up.

| They are closer to your back, making the whole set more balanced and a lower profile... I have a 300 bar set and are ace to keep your configuration the same as bigger twins without the weight. They are a real pleasure to dive with. Also 300's mean a little weight off your belt too.

| Thanks for the replies. Ladies - yes I can understand that. Redundancy - ermm shuting down on that little gas I think would be a problem for most people. Trim and profile - I've never used them so can't comment but surely they can not be as easy as a single 15? I seriously don't get it. |

[quote] I use them because I get to dive the same configuration as my bigger twins without the weight.... they are easier to dive than a single on a stab...

| I used to own both twin 7 232s and twin 7 300s. I preferred the 300s. They were lovely to dive. I could get two of my usual Farnes/St Abbs dives out of them and still come back from the second dive with a good reserve of gas. Bar for bar, I matched my buddies consumption on his twin 15s, so we always knew pretty much what each others' guages read. I moved up to twin 12s last year when I realised that if there was a poo/fan interface and my buddy needed my gas, I just didn't carry enough. That and the fact that I am starting to go deeper. I would definitely dive twin 300s again. Hxxx
