At the moment it won't be used any deeper than 35m ish.

Perhaps I should just get it serviced and use it as is.
Don't you have to "win" it first ?

The answer is yes.

According to the exploded diagram I have of the Mk25 AF, the replacement part number is 10600102. It's described simply as 'Cap', but it's the ambient chamber cylinder. The fins are meant to offer an improvement in very cold water performance, hence the AF (anti-freeze) suffix.

Ant P is correct, the part will cost £30-40.

Plus labour unless you do it yourself.

If you REALLY want it, wait till the next service then have it done.

Surprisingly, if you look at older schematics it will have the same part number as mentioned by Nick B ( just the Scubapro way) I would have this part changed during service by a Scubapro dealer, they have access to the part and will swap it in no time. Also it will take less cleaning than your old cap.

Maybe I'm just unlucky but my Mk25AF really ought to be called ScubaFLOW......... it's been serviced more times than a cheap hooker but still freeflows in sub 5 degree water.

Is it just mine then or is there a secret trick?

There can be many different reasons for you to suffer the freeflow below 5 degrees. Moisture in your cylinder gas, how you wash your kit down, or if you if the service agent has not followed the scubapro servicing procedure for diving a reg below 7 degrees. Of course there are other cold water procedures to follow.
