Check your Apeks ATX / XTX 2nd Stages
Apeks has issued a service bulletin related to ATX / XTX second stages.

In short: It has come to their attention that the diaphragm cover may have been missed during the assembly of these 2nd stages. Checking of these is relatively simple.

Only serial numbers from 701 0001 to 807 0001 might be have this problem.

Have a green because that'll mean one of my new ones has to go back.

Last week I used the new regs on a dive, one set on the main rig, one on the pony, that didn't actually get taken.

The dodgy one was on the pony! But only by luck.

Mine are both OK, but have a green for pointing the recall out as I hadn't seen it.

To put it into perspective, so far only one reg has been found to have this part missing, but being a responsible manufacturer, Apeks have decided to alert us and issued the recall.

The check takes 2 minutes.

My regs are in that serial range (bought last year) but both are fine. Worth knowing to check though.

That must be mine then - unless that makes 2 of us.

How was the drive? I did it last month and the M6 - M5 junction was down to one lane!

Hopefully you didn't stay at the dodgy hotel on the hill just before the football stadium- not the best place in the world.

If you are knowledgable enough about diving to want to buy Apeks regs - you should know what they look like when opened etc etc etc.

If not then this 'limited' news bulletin is not enough....

I had mine checked yesterday and they were fine. The guy in the shop didnt even know they had been recalled.
