Beaver don't quote size on their website but Go-Dive quote Beaver 7L at 7.4kg and 140mm wide and Faber at 8kg and 140mm x 685mm so width the same and length unknown.

Cant comment on the 7L but i used to have a Beaver 12L which was longer and slimmer than a Faber 12L.

i bought a 12L beaver when I was naive, hate it. it's taller and skinnier than a standard 12L cylinder, so when I'm always havnig to adjust my BCD band when changing tanks, and it has slipped out a few times. it's the work of the devil. go dive (can someone order me a cab please) are "claiming" selling faber cylinders for the same price as beaver ones. The guy at my LDS doesn't like filling the ebaver one either, says the valves are cheap imitations and he ducks for cover when its being filled.

beaver cylinders are also (apparently) made of a lower grade steel and have thinner walls.

    go faber, treat yourself.
