While we are on the subject, Kielder water (big reservoir up here) have log cabins for rent over the new year period. Now obviously they are all booked for this year, but what about next year? There is a monster one for 8 people, plus several others for 4 -6 people.

Just a thought.

Back to my party which it seems to have become all of a sudden. Easy to get here by train - railway is 2 minutes away with regular trains (even on new year! - i went to chesterfield last year no problems). 3 miles off the A1, about 30 miles north of newcastle. You are welcome for as long as you want to stay. You can come up the day before if you want. I can probably get you into a B&B owned by a mate if you want to see up here a bit (it is pretty).

My son-in -laws parents have arranged a guest house on the Durban coast for us all to spend four days, they don't know that l've arranged a couple of days diving on Proteau(sp) banks to dive (hopefully) with sharks.

We'll be up in the North East then but unfortunately it's my mum's 80th birthday party so I can't really duck out of that one. Have a good celebration anyway.
