I was in two minds over whether or not to come down, as I'm new to the site and don't know anyone. But I'm definitely heading over, if only to find out what a BCOD is....

well it was pleasant and a pleasure to meet you all (told ya i was quiet and shy!) ..... you lot who left early give us southerners a bad name for drinking eh - dry suit diver and i definatley had a wobble when walking to the tube! If only the northern line would improve then i might go down town more often!

and to round the evening off to meet THE one and only Digger was a huge thrill (and an eye opener ) i must say *we are not worthy we are not worthy*

I'll echo those sentiments, it was good to meet old friends and put names to new faces. Not a pint of shandy was drunk all night and at £3.20 for a pint of Oirish black bog water etc the finances took a suitable hammering. Highlight of the evening has to be Diggers explanation of his disapointment on finding that the trainee super-models on the next table were not YDers and the sight of Janos taking advice from Digger on the subject of rebreathers.

Conversations ranged wide and far and once again the world in general and diving in particular has been put to rights. If the Northern do is half as good a fine time will be had by all.

Cheers everyone

Gareth

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

Sorry I missed you

I did get to the pub and spent an hour looking for you all and as I did not see anyone I recognised and no bar staff nor the manager knew anyone from YD of Hellfins I eventually left at about 8-00 PM hope we can meet up next time when I will be better prepared (a phone number would have been useful)
Glad that it went well

sorry i missed everyone. i popped down to the slug and lettuce around 7:15, but couldn't see anyone modelling YD merchandise and didn't see any blue smurfs around, so decided to go home and do some laundry.

Maybe I should get myself a YD hat so other people can spot me next time

On the bright side, I've now got some clean clothes for this weeks diving trip!

Sorry you missed us - we had a YD sign on the table, but could have made it a bit more obvious as it was probably underneath the growing pile of empties...

Good to put some names to faces - I hope I've throughly destroyed any shred of credibility that consultants had left after some of the conversations!
