Well, sorry - too far to come for a weekend!

Having spent so long getting here, my employer tells me that break in the "acclimatisation process" would be fatal.....

Hugs & kisses

Probably won't make it to LIDS.

Would like to, but it's a bit of a slog getting there

I'm going to LIDS - received my ticket last week (significantly cheaper if you order it before 27th March! And you get a voucher for a FREE copy of the show guide -worth £2). The saving will probably get you a half of Guinness!!!!

Never been before - ticket can be usd for either day - can anyone suggest which is better, Saturday or Sunday? Is there any chance of bargains on Sunday?

I will hopefully be at LIDS as well this year. Is it as good as the NEC for kit bargains etc ?

yeah, I got some good deals last year, although it is much smaller than the NEC, and the beer is a bit expensive

A bit expensive for beer, thats like saying the Pope is a little bit Catholic.

remortgage is an option for beer at LIDS.

that said it is a reasonably good show even if a lot smaller than NEC show.

Sunday School Pass

I've got note from the vicar letting me off Sunday School so I'll be up at LIDS 0n 2nd April - Damn my secrets out - "Up at LIDS" betrays my Southerness!! Damn again , I've said 'Damn' three times the Vicars going to give me a stiff talking to!

I'll try to keep my plastic under control - but it's gonna be tough - all those shiney toys , thanks for the pre-order ticket cost saving tip and for the insight that the NEC is a much bigger bash. Ooooer , but the NEC even further North, is it safe ??

I'll see what the Rugby is doing that weekend, before making my travel plans.

It all depends if I can get a cheap (public transport) travel ticket or not, something like a £9 train fare or a couple of quid on the National (Not) Express.

Flying out to the dive show, cheaper flying to London than going to a dive show in Lisbon. OK in the going to spend more but it will also be a weekend out and a chance to go to the theatre. Got the tickets a month ago. Does anyone know the full program yet?
