Exclamation Stoney Gig Raffle!

Roll up Roll up!

Over 2800 tickets sold so far!

We will be having a raffle at the stoney gig for Motor Neurone Disease Research - Chris Hall, a longstanding YD member was diagnosed last year with this terrible disease. I spoke to Liz this morning and both she and Chris are really pleased we are doing this for them.

Soooooo......

I need prizes. Anything and everything. I will be selling the tickets from now, i will sort out how to part you from your cash later today.

If you are there on the day, you will be harassed into parting with as much cash as you can spare, I will be hanging around our "Gear Car Parking Space" with a collection tin and tickets, plus hopefully some way of displaying the prizes. We will ensure this space is manned(or wommaned) all day so you will be safe to leave kit rather than slogging up cardiac hill etc

If anyone is coming down to the gig from around Huddersfield can they give me a shout, hopefully we will be raffling off some of Chris's dive gear too as he would like it to go to a good home.

Also any offers to give me a hand in making this big, loud and proud as only YD can would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Right.

How to seperate you lot from your cash.

Easy. Tickets are £1 a strip, with 5 tickets per strip.

First, either pay online using Chris's site:

http://www.justgiving.com/diverchris

You then need to forward the email you get from them as a receipt with

*YOUR YD NAME
*REAL name
*Contact number so i can call you if you get a prize,
*Plus the amount you donated (v important)

as the first line in the email.

Forward these emails to - porgthediver@gmail.com

I will be keeping a file with all the paper bits in it, so we can quickly find out who has won and phone you.

If you are sending me a cheque you need to do it NOW, as it has to arrive by Saturday morning at the latest (Alex and Geoff i have yours thanks )

The other way is for you to send me a cheque made out as following:
Payable to: Motor Neurone Disease Association
So the charity know's which fund you want to donate to, please write the fund name and fund reference number on the back of the cheque as it appears below -
Fund name: The Chris Hall Tribute Fund
Fund reference number: Fund_212
Charity fund reference: 193674

and send it to me, Helen Hadley, 6 Curly Lane, Lesbury, Alnwick, Northumberland NE66 3QB

Again, if you bung a bit of paper in with it saying who you are and a contact number that would be great

Right. Go go goooooooooo

Thumbs up A shining light and a teddy bear from Liz and Chris

Hi all
THANKS HELEN!
I have left Chris in the Kirkwood Hospice tonight early to let you all know he is doing very well in his heart and mind but his body is not doing so good. The paralysis has almost finished off his arms and hands and now is affecting his chest and subsequently his breathing. He is still full of fun and wit and flirting with all the nurses. He will stay there for a week to give us both a well needed break.
ANYWAY - he wants to donate some of his dive kit to the auction/raffle and I had a quick look in the cellar and picked out his brand new Sartek Light to give to Helen (can you pm me an address to post it to - I could not figure out how to PM you so am posting this message instead). I am also getting some lovely cuddly bears from the MND Association. They are very cute and we named them all Cuthbert as had a lovely Christmas on Holy Island. Here are some details of how to ensure any money raised goes to the MND Association via his tribute site - www.justgiving.com/diverchris.
The Chris Hall Tribute Fund
in aid of Motor Neurone Disease Association
Please make all cheques to this fund payable to: Motor Neurone Disease Association
So the charity know's which fund you want to donate to, please write the fund name and fund reference number on the back of the cheque as it appears below -
Fund name: The Chris Hall Tribute Fund
Fund reference number: Fund_212
Charity fund reference: 193674
and post the cheque to the following address:
MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE ASSOCIATION
PO BOX 246
Northampton
NN1 2PR
Once the cheque has been received and cleared by the bank, Motor Neurone Disease Association will add the sum of your donation to the fund total.
GOOD LUCK with the day and safe diving to you all from Liz and Chris xxx
