Can't wait for November in Florida. Hopefully I will get the funds to go.

Safe diving all.

Matt,

In the UK going for a waz is one of a multitute of slang terms meaning to go for a pee! At this point I would imagine that you weren't cold on your dive and that you were VERY grateful you were wearing a FFM!

Of course, us FFMers can face the facts and accept that fish and all sorts of critters do all sorts of things in the sea that make me, and I hope you, constantly grateful for our choice to not only look very cool in our Ocean Reef masks BUT be very smug in our pollution free zone.

I mean, have you ever seen a fish wipe its bottom? Do octopusses dedicate one tentacle to the task of wiping theirs? .....hmmmmm, a one in eight chance of drawing the short straw if you have octopus tentacle on toast ......... makes you think!

Matt,

The mask lifting up can be quite irritating, maybe even distressing. I'm not certain of your personal orientation in the water but, from the complaint you describe, I would assume you are somewhere between vertical and face up. Until I learnt to ascend in a face down horizontal position I had the same problem and it used to really p*ss me off! If I'm vertical for more than a few seconds now I have got used to grabbing the reg with one hand and using its weight to offset the mask's buoyancy.

Perhaps someone could fit a small lead counter weight to offset your mask buoyancy? I wouldn't have thought you'd need much lead?

Of course, you can always get the straps pulled really tight but that in itself can be equally annoying and distressing.

If I ever get in a pool anytime soon I'll check out how much weight you might need.

Rgds
Bryan

Thanks everyone, for all the support, as always you say the nicest things. I guess I am going have to come over to the UK to dive with you guys.

It kind of feels good being a pioneer, if I can help people dive, that will be even better yet.

Very funny Finless about the octopus and the fish and the bathroom humor! You got my kind of humor, sick but funny.

By the way, I love my Ocean REEF Neptune space full face mask, it rocks, I never wear anything else. I am definitely glad a got an FFM. I feel awesome wearing one. It definitely keeps your face warm in ice cold water.

Not a bad idea with the weight on the face mask. That's probably why it keeps moving up on me, because of the buoyancy of the mask.

The weight will probably better instead of tightening the straps all the way. Don't want to squeeze my brains too tight.

Take care everyone, Safe diving Matt
