I'll be there at the DOC and at the FOD. Mainly because the FOD looks like FOOD with a missing O. But also because it's going to be a fun event with some interesting speakers. Oh, and I'm helping promote the event so I get in free

Hi Fiona,

You don't have to stay at the Novotel to go to the social. I'm not and neither are most of the people who are going. The tickets are £25 for a three course meal at the Novotel, or if you just want to drink in the bar then there are free bar passes (basically these just get you entry to the event).

Then there's the FOD on the Sunday.

PS - Oh, and just to be clear, The Festival of Diving is for people of all persuasions, not just BSAC.

I think the latest people to confirm that they'll be there is the British Divers Marine Life Rescue, who'll be doing a workshop.

Also Mad Cave Diver [1] Rick Stanton is talking too.

It would be good to come down but being single has a distinct disadvantage when it comes to booking rooms
