Exclamation Rnli - Update
Have been in touch with our representative from the RNLI (its taken some arranging I can tell you!) and the upshot is:

1. They will open a bank account to collect any monies raised throughout the year. This is the best option because it takes YD out of the frame for escrow accounts etc.
2. They can provide 'gift-aid' forms for any contributions over £10

We have agreed that, due to the delay and the tremendous support given to The Pink Coffin trek, we would run the RNLI for 12 months from 1st April 2007 -> 31st March 2008.

Same format as previous years - the RNLI will become charity of choice and any funds raised will be paid into their accounts.

NOW, I need a person (or people) willing to take this and act as liason with the RNLI as well as organiser for the year. Kath did a superb job with the MND events last year and I need someone equally as dedicated to run this year's fund raising activities / events.

So, any volunteers please?

Come on please - I need a volunteer! The RNLI is waiting for a contact to get the ball rolling with this. I simply don't have time to run this as well as everything else so please, can we have a volunteer!!!

I would help anyway i can but i cant give it the time that Kathy did for the MND, I deal allot with the RNLI here as they are just over the road so that parts easy gigs and raffle mmm

There are some on here that have nothing to do all day except site at home ..............come on help out with this!!

Ok - final update. The RNLI have set up a collection bank account for any and all funds raised during the course of the next 12 months. Due to the extended Pink Coffin support it seems only fair that we run the RNLI through to this time next year so may be officially from 1st May 2007 -> 30th April 2008?

Looks like this will be a committee job which is great as it is such an undertaking for one person so could all those who initially expressed an interest please reconfirm with me by PM that you would still be interested in some capacity - anyone else who would like to help, the more the merrier!!
