I can't make this now because of stupid US government saying I have to get my visa renewal at a US Embassy rather than a local INS office. My appt. isn't till January now so I won't be coming over till end of December. If anyone is meeting up in the Alnwick area I'll be there between weekend before Xmas and New Year's Eve. I won't be bringing over my scuba gear.

It would have been great to meet up as I live 10 miles north of Alnwick toward the Farnes, however, I'm away from 22 December and not back till after new year. If you are going to be in the area before then PM me and we'll have a meet and some nosh.

I shall sample the local pubs (in the name of research ) to see which will be best to meet up in for drinkies before hand. There are several new bars that have opened so I'll check them out.

What about beer from 6.30 followed by curry at 8.30, followed by more beer and possibly dancing (or wild arm flailing on my part )? So long as no-one buys me an aftershock I should still retain the use of my legs (unlike the last do in Shields I organised).

Nope, I don't arrive till the 22nd. I'll be working on the 21st down South then head up either Friday night or Saturday morning. Then I'll be off down South again before New Year's. Pity.

Well done Helen for organising, just one thing, where the hell is it??
As the only satnav pice of kit we have will be a map and my eyes, we'll need destructions.
