| I would say the Scuba Trust. Having met and chatted to some of these guys they do outstanding work. Imagine being confined to a wheelchair or having a disability that really affects your freedom to move (something we all take foregranted until we break a leg etc) but suddenly being introduced to an environment which allows total freedom? We cannot all rely on being mobile, having decent vision or hearing for the rest of our diving careers. Having worked with people with all kinds of disability in a sporting environment and seeing quite what a change it can start, i would ask for you to strongly consider them

| Seems to be a lot of support for Help for Heroes. I can understand that others may feel more attached to a diving related charity considering we are a diving forum though. Is there any scope for supporting 2 charities? Just to throw another into the melting pot. We lost one of our own, Kanga, Alice Farrands to cancer last year. She too was a magnificent hero in my eyes and was a person who always seemed to have a positive outlook and a big smile on her face. Unfortunately I only knew her for a relatively short while. Perhaps a cancer charity might also be appropriate?

| This is not a diving related charity BUT Dreamflight take a Boeing 747 every year filled with children with "life limiting illnesses" from around the British Isles for a once in a lifetime holiday to Disneyland. They are supported by teams of nurses, doctors and voulenteers who all give they time freely to ensure that the children have one positive memory of childhood in sometimes their all too short and painfilled lives. Last year was the first year that Dreamflight were unable to raise as much as it cost to put on the trip. If we can raise in 08 what we raised for RNLI then we could sponsor a child and change at least one life for the the better.
