club fund raising

his guys and gal and everything inbetween ,

im looking for some good honest and fun ideas for fund raising for our club . we have a gud bunch of people and love diving together . but the problem is it all costs money . thus we have to do fund raising .

any ideas of some events or anything else that may bring money to the club .

Clubs I have been in before have used things like bonus ball lottery where members can purchase a number for a pound and if that number is the bonus ball on saturdays draw they get 30pound the rest of the money goes into the club and if you can't get 49 members then just sell the numbers you can give the winner something like 75% of takings and anytime a number comes up that no-one has you just roll the money over.

im tryin not to hit the members up all the time for money . i know it their club and its for them . but want to rob the unsuspectin public of their millions

We had a couple of auctions on club nights in the winter and raised a few hundred quid.

Things we auctioned included:

Dive tat - stuff we had in the shed and never used
cakes (we got £12 for one very pretty appe pie!)
favours like decorating, lawnmowing, babysitting
Various stuff we had hanging about the house and never used.

Get a good auctioneer and get a few beers down people - they'll bid for anything then!


I tried to get the club to do "bag packing" at supermarket check outs. This always raises lots of money. But no one was keen. You could try that.

tried that got a few bob . not every1 wants to giv up a weekend and stand at a till .

this is what we should be doing . but it doesnt involve beer , water
