| Not as popular as the 3 peaks - but if you are looking for something different the 'Bob Graham 24 hour challenge' is meant to be tough. 42 peaks in the Lake District within 24 hours (72 miles, 27,000 ft of ascent). |

| A mid-life crisis can only be overcome by doing something permanent by way of a change. I gave up a business that anyone would have given their right arm to do with remuneration that today I cannot believe, to become a diving instructor on US$1000 per month in the Red Sea. I then later wasted all my savings doing diving trips to break into what I do now. Then just when I was almost broke, I got married again and started a new family! There's no fool like an old fool!

| My Boss asked my last year how much longer my mid life crisis was going to continue. I'm off to Cape Town next month mostly for business but I'll see some sharks too while I'm there. According to Sixy I drive a sexy blue car but according to the Dude it's a mid life crisis penis extension. (should have seen the TVR I got rid of 2 years ago) I've realised there are lots of things I can still learn... so all I know is that mine isn't over yet and it's been going on for 12 years now .Things you could think about. Trading in the kids for a Rebreather Volunteering for one of the 3rd world charities for a year (aka running away ) taking up rock climbing taking up freediving New Job Doing more diving Giving your feet a rest

Totally impractical for diving Sadly, I also have to agree with BJ. Mid life crises are best fixed by a permanent change, which is why you may feel the need to go out and do things. Unless the permanaent change is a fitter you... in which case I think yours is a better one to have than the one I had. I'd like one like Scubasue had, but I can't do that for another 7 years. Then I thing it will be a old age crisis than a mid life one.

| For my midlife crisis I changed jobs but not profession, moved up north and bought a house and only knew one person that lived in same town. Christ how lonely the first three years were. I was on the verge of giving up and going back to London and then I was introduced to scuba diving and the rest is history. |
