That rather depends on your definition of a 'mid-life crisis'.
At a basic level it often occurs to 40 odd year old men who have had a family and cannot rationalise their need to go out spreading their seed some more. They should probably sling up their arms before they scrape all that knuckle skin away
For the women is can be reacting to having spent their entire adult life dedicated to a husband and children and barely touching on satisfying any of their own needs. That accompanied by said husband tripping off with a 20 year old younger version of themselves as mentioned above.
The actual physical age is irrelevant as it's about the transition though life so I have years to go before I get there, being as I'm still a teenager and haven't even got started yet

One little mistake ..................

However, some years ago I managed to eventually trade up to the car I wanted which was an extremely sexy blue number. Well, to me anyway. Maybe that's why my brain said 'blue'
Mine was a Prelude with the best steering on the planet. I would also have settled for a Toyota Supra or Lotus Esprit.

I was advised by female counterparts, going off buying little MGs, porsche, Elans ... which I consider dumpy and rather un-sexy, that I had a "man's" car !! So, with that in mind, and the accepted opinion of men with sports cars, I concluded that mine must be a penis substitution.

Crisis what crisis

I am still planning my crisis. It is a major fear of my wife that this will involve a rebreather/ sky diving/ a Harley or possible all three at the same time. Young ladies are not part of the equation, I am far too tired for that business.

Harley has to be one of the safest things going out of your list. They are not build for speed but for cruising along with your legs extended and feet on the pegs. Go to Sturgis to the Harley ralley, when I was there I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

I did say "at the basic level" as in how man was designed to be eons ago when hunting for food and probably having many "mates" in order to maintain the human race

You know it has been suggested that serious gamblers (more commonly male) do so because they are not satisfying their need for challenge, fear and trepidation in our modern society. Of course fast driving could well be considered another form

thats whole friday thread on its own. Man is no further evolved than we were when we first figured out fire, food and fcuking. We can provaricate as much as we want about being civilised but in all honesty were just talking apes.

I would be inclined to agree, well about the male sex of the human race anyway
But seriously, we haven't evolved as much as people would like to think we have. We have basic drivers which is why, IMVHO, forcing us to live in a manufactured society causes the majority of our problems.

So, on that note I'm off out to make f, source f and with a bit of luck f

Oh boring! I'm just supposed to gather berries Oh no that's ok, I'm also designed to build a community with the other women through speech and interaction. Phew, there's a relief
