| Doing it for the kids.... Sometimes something comes along that makes you think 'I could do that', but it's something totally out of your comfort zone? Well, on Bank Holiday Monday, the 26th May 2008, I, along with a load of my colleagues from work, will be rowing my heart out for Martin House Hospice doing a Dragon Boat race in Roundhay Park in Leeds. It's an all day thing, starting at 10am until 5pm, with races throughout the day. I shall definitely be knackered and earning my sponsorship money For those of you who don't know, Martin House is a Yorkshire hospice for Children and young people who really don't have an awful lot to look forward to in life. It is a place they can go to with their families for love, care and respite, to enjoy their limited, potentially short life, and also gives their hard-working families a chance for a break as being a carer is a hard and thankless task. I'm the first to admit I'm not a charity-type person at all. I give, but only when I believe in a cause. This is one, as a parent myself, I can identify with wholeheartedly. So guys and gals - please dig deep and see what you can do for me My justgiving site is here - Justgiving - Mark Wayt as part of Team Communisis Cheers all!

| I'm going to pimp this one a bit more until you all get sick of me (Well, not like that's hard - I'm sure I am on a few ignore lists now It's a worthwhile cause (aren't they all?). Sorry if it's turning into one of those adverts that you get bombarded with on the TV - you know the ones like the cancer one, that make you sad the first time you see it but then make you change channel when it's on every ad break. But sometimes there are things that we can do for the better. I believe that's what these guys (Martin House) are trying to do. These kids don't have any future at all - they have terminal illnesses which'll mean they won't get to dive like we can, or experience the cool things we will experience in our lives. Think back to when you were young and maybe you had things to look forward to. Give these kids a bit of dignity in their short lives. (As you were... sorry for pimping...)

| Yes, come on everyone, I'm sure everyone can afford at least £1. That would be a lot of money if everyone gave a measly pound. Imagine if your child had a life limiting illness and then think of all the support you would need.
