Probably just as bad.

"Decision? Holy mother of the Permanent Secretary, don't make me make a decision, I'm not qualified for that. I'll have to send a memo to the minister to check".......3 months later........"What was the question again?"

Do you work for Loughborough Uni ? My girlfriend's best mate works there (might be accounting) and has the same complaints.

Another bureaucrat. I am surprised there isn't a Civil Service diving club (there seems to be clubs for everything else).

Where are you? I will be at the HO as of January...

Laters,
Janos

Luckily I'm a consultant rather than a civil servant, so at least I can leave easily ! I'm currently workin in DWP

One of my colleagues is around the HO at the moment and I'm trying to manouver my way onto that project, but not till April probably.

Also, my girlfriend is learning to dive with Hellfins at the moment - she's the tall red head cursing my name every time she gets into the swimming pool !

Lynne - he name is Clare Bivvins - I think it may be accounting, but it could be something else like that

What an absurd suggestion. Why would anyone want to do that?

Academia beats working for a living, no contest at all
