| update - Crown 1, Scrote 0 I thought I would post an update to this. The young thug kept to his 'not guilty' plea for some time, but changed his plea before any of the witnesses were called in. I believe that they were waiting to see how credible the witnesses were? Anyway, after a few hours waiting around we were no longer required, and I will find out during the week what sentence he got - and if I will get any money back for the cost of repairing my car.

| Our judical (sp) system amazes me. Seem s like this lad was caught "bang to rights" but is still able to plead not guilty and have the case heard in crown court to the expense of the public. I bet the scrote even got a solictor on legal aid? Good Luck on getting some sort of recompense |

| This incident reminds me of one that occured to me back in 1981. I had lost my way and had to turn around in a farm entrance in a country lane. As I started up the road, a car came screaming around the bend at a high rate of knots and nearly piled into my back end. He then shot past and cut in front of me forcing me to stop. At this point, he leapt out, pulled my car door open ( I had not expected this and had not locked it as I would have now), uttered a stream of abuse and thumped me in the face with quite some force. He then slammed my car door shut and hit the side of my door with his knee with as much force as he could muster. Unfortunately for him, I was driving a SAAB 99, one of the first cars to have a side impact bar! There was a dull thud and a scream of agony. I reversed and drove away. A bruised face was nothing compared with the damage I suspect he suffered to his knee. At times there is some justice in this world. |
