Speculation is understandable but difficult at times like this.

What has struck me is that statement that 1000 metropolitain police officers had been taken off duty in London and sent to Edinburgh for the G8. Soft target then...

Am sat on an Estate in Bunhill Row cannot get to top floor of block to see what exactly is happening, (got wrong security keys)orange network is up and running as am typing this from Laptop on GPRS.

seems unlikely to be 'power surge at such scattered locations even if nearly all are on Hammersmith and city/metropolitan line.

Presumably with the G8 summit the Police were already stretched, therefore a perfect opportunity and perfect timing by whomever.

I know, I'm reading here that we've got a number of YD'ers in this mess and the advice is to stay in the building where you are and remain there until further notice for your own safety.

To any and all affected by this, stay safe guys and God's speed.

The Highway (Tower Hill) heading east looks fine as everything has been stopped from coming from the west. I'm due to leave at 2pm but still can't get hold of my missus!

I said that to my wife yesterday that it would be a perfect time for a terrorist attack in london with so many coppers in scotland .

Well a lot could walk. I'm serious. Those within 15 miles of work will take 5 hours at 3mph. Leave at 4, home by 9 - daylight too. This may also allow those further away to get trains from outer lying stations that won't be travelling to London for some hours.

Those who complain should think about those who won't be going home at all.

Adrian
