Thomas Covenant? Hero? After six books I got really fed up and pi$$ed off with the whinging (sp?) git! If it wasn't for Linden Avery I would have been pleased for Lord Foul to have wiped him out.

As for others that have been mentioned I'm fully in agreement with:

Elric
Druss
Waylander
Constantine (not seen the movie but I read the comics - ok so that's a sad admission for a 36yr old )
Marvin (Sin City - see comment on Constantine)
Wolverine (pre X-men, yes I'm still on about comics)

But also up for consideration I'd like to include:

Miho (Sin city - Family Values)
Hartigan (Sin City - That Yellow Bastard {and yes, that is the name of the book/comic series})
Marc Remillard (Saga of the Exiles - Julian May: Though more of an anit-hero)
Nayland Smith (Fu Manchu - Sax Rohmer)

And of course the main man himself. the one and only:

Lobo (for those of a nervous or sensitive disposition ... you're better off not knowing )
