The Wicker Man
What a pile of shit!!!

It's awful. The sight of Nicholas Cage running around the woods, pretending his life is in danger whilst wearing furry shoes from a bear suit has to be the comedy moment of the year.

I love the original film and not just because of Britt Ekland's knockers, the remake is awful. The acting is terrible, the script makes no sense, the dialogue ("step away from the bicycle") is embarassing and characters stopping to explain what is happening is downright irritating (as a lobotomised pig could follow the film).

Don't waste your money.

What did you expect? Did you really expect it to be any good? I also heard a rumour that they've changed the ending (But don't spoil it for me if they have).

All that said, I might go and see it anyway, just because I like the original and Missus Janos complains that I don't take her to the pictures enough.

The ending is the same but heavily edited to get a 12 cert (some good, gory sounding torture scenes are only heard rather than seen).

And no Lord Summerisle!!!!!! Best character in the original film!!!
