Question BSAC Membership Cards
Can someone tell me what the point is?

There's late and then there's just a p1ss take...
got mine yesterday... letter dated 24th feb 2006, envelope stamped 3/10/06.

Nearly time for a new one - 31/01/07

Why do they bother, why not just save the dosh?

BSAC Direct
If you pay through the club it takes ages, I did mine through BSAC direct and got itin 3 days?

It's not been with your branch Membership Secretary all this time has it...? You can't blame HQ for that.

I wasn't blaming anyone, just asking what the point was?

But, if it has been with the Branch sec, why did HQ date the letter feb when clearly not posted until oct?

I now have a card valid for 3 months (OK be pedantic, nearly 4)... Why bother? Put the cost to a worthy cause!

I do mine throught the club and it has never taken more than a couple of weeks to come though.

Do I infer there has been some discrimination here?

Seeing as I was born abroad, does anyone else think I should sue the BSAC ?

Don't know about discrimination, maybe just unlucky.

If you're going to sue BSAC I'd be after a cut, since I was also born abroad. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Definitely. You should sue them for all the distress caused by people pointing at you and laughing because you're not a member of the BSAC.

I think it's probably a cock-up somewhere along the line. With 40 or 50 000 cards being sent out one or two are going to go astray. Certainly mine is always swift to arrive.

Still waiting for my TDI card though.

Don't they get sent to your branch, then your branch sends thern to you?

Just picked mine up last night at the pool.
Saves the club a stamp.
It not like I get a free pass into anywhere, or a discount off anything with it.

In fact, it's arrived just in time to be used to scape frost of the windscreen in a morning
