Sorry to hear of your troubles and you have taken the first step by getting it off your chest. Next step if you have not already done so is to get some professional help particularly in view of the later part of your post - there is no stigma attached to this.
Here's hoping you make a quick recovery.

Thank you all especially for those that Pm'd me. I'm doing OK now, as expected I didn't jump back to be a spring chicken. Took a few days, felt tired as anything but had good time with chainsaw and log splitter. Seeing GP next week. As with anyone in life you have the crests and troughs. In my case I hit one particulary low trough and reacted badly.
Getting back to normality. Have much work to get done and my desk overpilling with paperwork. If only my drysuit would arrive so I can do a couple of dives before the years end....

As some of you may have guessed, l have quiet a hectic chrissy, however today, all my kids are out, the in-laws, who are staying with us are visiting someone and the 'High Dudess' is at work so l've a nice peaceful house for a few hours.

this year has been excellent - just me the missus and the two dogs. No inlaws to control everything, boil food till its mush and fry the food until its black. No inlaws breaking arms or legs (that happened last year), no inlaws pissing me off by trying to organise everything. And lastly no inlaws to drink my sodding expensive selection of single malts and then feck off home again and take a bottle with them.

I have enjoyed a christmas alone, not travelling and above all doing what i want to.

Its going to happen again next year definitly!

Who fancies a pint?
