I work on the theory that if I buy something for me, there is every likelihood I will wear it many times before it wears out. Anything for my son will get grown out of before he wears it out.

I will happily buy him £5 jeans from Asda, Tesco etc but I never scrimp in his shoes. My parents did (not their fault - 4 kids and a poorly paid job), and I have awful feet.

Hmmm... perhaps we should have a YD Kids Clothes Swap.

Anyone have a son, aged about 8/9 who would like some summer clothes that my 10 year old has outgrown?

Yup same here once I was about 7-8. before that it was startrite/clarks. with my girl its clarks and has been since she needed shoes. I particularly detest seeing babies to 8yr olds in cheapo trainers that probly dont fit properly and are wrecking their feet.

right mini rant over thread can go back to normal now

ok then back to OP thread and first reply.

Birth rate is falling cos previously healthy people with (I assume) healthy appetites are now communicating across the living room via their laptops, 120 routers, webservers, and a YD portal.
