why do i have to rely on technology to get me up in the morning to go diving.
ok

last night I had the fortune of finishing work slightly early (about 8)

i went hoe sorted diving gear out as I ave an important dive today afterall I am finishing a course and have been waiting probably 3-4 minths to get out to do this dive but the date was set and so was my alarm clock(s).

my phone @

1 set at 0430
1 set at 0445
1 set at 0450

bed side alarm

1 set at 5

so how on gods earth am I still here in bed and not on the way to Wastwater

Because either my phone alarms didnt go off or i selpt thrugh them (never happened before ever)

AND

just to add fuel to the fire, we had a powercut in the night and my bedside alarm reset itself to 00:00 at what must have been about 0300

I am an extreamly pissed off person

Not as much as my instructor who I think will probably not be that impressed

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

thanks for the encouragememnt, when i eventualy get the course done

I am too late now, so anybody wan a last minute dive somewhere up north as i have a stage of 50/% and i need to give it back to somebody this week.

What it teaches you is to take no chances - do what the native Americans used to do. Drink lots of water before you go to bed - you will wake up in plenty of time to leave. Either that or wet the bed!
