We interviewed him at Clarence House in mid-December, just before he was sent to Afghanistan, we spent some time with him at the start of January when he was settling in at a remote base in Southern Helmand Province, and most recently, we filmed with him last week at a new location in Helmand Province."

Or:

Bloke third in line to the throne of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and ... other Realms and Territories ..., Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith wears hat showing allegiance to foreign nation which says (to paraphrase) "I like killin' folks".

Linky

Obviously I'm over-analysing this but still, piss-poor PR wouldn't you say?

Actually this is the line which is most disturbing!

"...it seems amazing that nobody thought to tell him to remove it for the money shots."

What were they filming???

It's a cap and only a cap, and you get loads of this sort of stuff about when you mingle with both our Armed Forces and those of other nations, particularly when based at the same location. Kit gets swapped around and exchanged and it's nothing new at all. In fact it's been around for centuries. One of our regiments have this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen's_Royal_Lancers

which are in quite high demand on operations!

Kind of getting mixed messages here - you have a go BECAUSE he is Royal and ISN'T going to Iraq - then you aren't happy because he IS in Afghanistan and then have a go because he isn't acting ROYAL enough?

I don't think your glass is half empty mate - I don't think you have a glass at all??
