| Tweenagers Am I the only other person who's been thinking along the same lines as this? Why do we dress children like tarts? | Dt Opinion | Opinion | Telegraph |

| Mine wears whatever is on sale in his size. I do get astonished by the clothes for sale, even in M&S. You can go there and there are racks and racks of small tarty clothes aimed at young girls. Tucked away in the corner somewhere will be one or two racks of boys clothes. Mostly with motifs etc depicting the latest violent themes. It really is frustrating.

Well said that man! Not only should children look like children they should act like them too! Peer pressure is a difficult thing to deal with!

| I am Victorian dad according to my wife and daughter (Nearly 13) and I intend to remain so until she is old enough to start bringing boys (Mid to late 20's) home, at which point I will become psycho dad |

They fuckyou up, your mum and dad. They may not mean to, but they do. They fill you with the faults they had And add some extra, just for you. But they were fucked up in their turn By fools in old-style hats and coats, Who half the time were soppy-stern And half at one another's throats. Man hands on misery to man. It deepens like a coastal shelf. Get out as early as you can, And don't have any kids yourself Unfortunately I failed! I agree completely though. I wouldn't allow my kids to dictate how much is spent on their clothes and what they look like. |
