Hope you are feeling OK Nigel now, that must have been quite a shock. Good to see that your normal philosophy on life is shining through.

Hope the phone is worth it.

Probably not, but I imagine his self respect was. I hope I have the guts to respond the same way if something like that befalls me.

Very difficult for me to stop 1 car, let alone 3, especially from the other side of the road. Now, a couple of coppers jumping into the road in front of them might have done something.

They've had their actions sanctioned by the police now, next time they might actually kill the cyclist. This time he wobbled on. Still, dangerous driving isn't a very exciting crime.

So you think that 3 coppers jumping in front of a car might have done something apart from possibly getting themselves run over. I am sure it doesnt say in their job description they have to risk their life do their job.

Why is so much easier to walk away and then pass on responsibility to others?

Sorry to hear about the mugging, glad to hear you're ok. Hopefully they'll have them on CCTV but as others have said there's not much hope. They've put 4 CCTV cameras over a bridge around here, one night a friend got mugged and was told later that the cameras aren't even on

I'm sure you could get volunteers to watch CCTV and pick out petty crimes just to get one over on the 'world owes us a living' types

Don't the police have those spiky things in the boots of their cars for throwing in front of vehicles?

Safer than leaping out into the road, I reckon!
