There's nothing wrong with that. Most people start off by posting an introduction, it's standard etiquette, much like introducing yourself before starting a conversation.

Also people tend to be a bit skeptical about people who join and immediately start slating X, Y or Z. This is because there are those out there that will join a popular board such as this to pose as disgruntled customers in an attempt to trash a competitors reputation.

Not accusing you of anything merely explaining some of the responses.

Hey no problem, I just didn't want you think we were a hostile bunch of tossers (which OK we can be when poked).

If you get bad service then by all means tell people all about it but make sure you tell people about good service too. It keeps people on their toes or at least the smart ones that pay attention to what 10K divers are saying to each other (or whatever the current YD membership is).
