I hate having to work twice as hard to cover someone either pretending to be sick or I know has been on the pi$$ the night before and has too bad a hangover to come in. Been at current job one year tomorrow and had 3 days sick - and on all of them I came into the office, did work before having to throw in the towel. Before that it was 5 weeks sick March last year. However, I was lying in an hospital bed fighting for my life for the first 3 days, so I think work were fine with that. Since I gave them the hospital name, phone number, ward, bay I was in when able to so it was proved beyond doubt I wasn't telling lies!!!
