It's just ridiculous. I have been working on site since April and we've got people I've never met! Fuck off and resign you useless sponging bastards! Some of us have work to do, and I have to write your name on a stupid fecking form every day because you can't be arsed going to work. Not because you're ill, you're clearly just taking the piss.

Now get into work so I can stop writing your bloody names on that bloody form, and we can stop paying you any sort of sickness benefit, and you can earn an honest living.

Now I get to a point where we've started a sweepstake on where the next no win no fee wanker is coming from. I reckon my money is safe because my horse limped off with a bad back last week. Boo hoo.

And relax.

Not much. I wish I had a decent cover for no win no fee so I could do the same to be honest. Knowing my luck I'd try it on for stress or something and end up with a PI catching me out bungee jumping on my weekends or something.

lol the company I work for caught some piece of turd on stage doing his full act while he claimed he had severe damage to his back from working on the shop floor.......... he was caught by a female PI acting as a birthday girl, needless to say he was well sacked

My company gives you x days sick leave (depending on length of service) after you use that up you get SSP only....that hurts and tends to mean that most people only go sick when they actually can't get out of bed or have died!

Just get your Absence policy sorted then. If there is a legal policy in place they can't sue, and who said sickness policies had to be generous

It's SSP after a few days, and our absence policy is pretty reasonable, it's just that people have learnt how to use it to its full extent and take the piss something chronic. There's people on the list who aren't even in this country any more. Madness.

I did particuarly enjoy the investigation a few months ago where a guy was off with a bad back. We listened to his tale of woe, then said "could you explain this for us?" and showed him a video of him carrying building gear into his house. Brilliant. You almost heard his jaw hitting the table. One in the eye for the pisstakers.

I recollect one young lady asking the manager how many days off she was allowed for sickness in a year. She had realised she didn't have enough holidays left for 2 weeks in ??????? and wanted to add some sick days to complete her holiday!!!
