I also heard you won't be able to wave little plastic union jack flags for the same reason!
This country's going to the dogs or as the do-gooder PC'ers would have you say bipedally challenged canines!

If you don’t sign this then pretty soon it’ll probably become illegal to even utter the words “Red Arrows” and “England” under your breath…..
Don't forget the bits that stick onto England too - it is possible to live in Wales and wear the Queen's Uniform.

The Olympic committee did indeed consider the Green Arrows formation lawn mowing display team, but decided that it was too dynamic and exciting, and therefore might show the UK in an unfavourable light... Also, the HSE were concerned that a stray blade of grass might trigger a hay-fever reaction in a spectator, resulting in them using one of the "No win, no fee" firms to sue....

Your absolutely correct. . . . We shouldn't forget Wales/Scotland or NI for that matter. After all, they are Englands biggest counties!!!!!

Look, all this talk of lawn mower formation cutting is ridiculous and obviously wrong.

Get a grip.

The reality is that the 2012 Olympics have been secretly designated as the first officially non-competitive games. Surely a game is just that; a game, so it makes sense that nobody’s feelings get hurt when they don’t win.

Similarly, there will be no national teams. In the interests of the global community we will have teams where “players” (not "competitors", obviously) will be picked by a random computer program, which will allocate a fair spread of ages, sexes, abilities and nationalities for each team.

The teams’ designations will be numbers that change with each event so that no team gets jealous of the team with the covetable number 1. This was initially considered ridiculously confusing, but a beta test was trialled at the weekend when Scotland and New Zealand wore identical strips to play rugby.

I’m sure you get the drift. This IS, after all, the 21st century.

I've done a bit more digging, and as far as I've got, it seems that the original story originated in the rag that recently claimed there was a great white off Cornwall.

Say no more, I take it all back...................

On the other hand, if someone wants to start a petition about the Green Arrows Formation Mowing Team............................

Yes, quite a devastating blow for them seeing as they have already started their intensive training.
As 'Green One' Mr Elvis Parsley commented, "the Ransomes Multiblade has been given the once-over and has never been in better shape".
Elvis Parsley also let slip that he has two new signings for the positions of 'Green Two' and 'Green Three' in the shape of Leif Mould the veteran Swede and Woody Chip the axeman of Idaho.
Rumours in the city have it that Flymo shares are set to tumble.

Exclamation Red Arrows have been banned

The world-famous Red Arrows have been banned from appearing at the 2012 London Olympics because they are deemed "too British".

Organisers of the event say that the Arrows military background might be "offensive" to other countries taking part in the Games. The display team have performed at more than 4000 events worldwide, but the Department of Culture, Media and Sport have deemed the display team "too militaristically British". Red Arrows pilots were said to be "outraged", as they had hoped to put on a truly world class display for the Games, something which had never been seen before. Being axed from a British-based event for being "too British" is an insult - the Arrows are a symbol of Britain.

The Red Arrows have been excellent ambassadors for British overseas trade, as they display their British-built Hawk aircraft all over the world.

The Arrows performed a short flypast in 2005 when the winning bid was announced, but their flypast at the Games was to have been truly spectacular.

It is to be hoped that common sense prevails
