| sort of missing the point there... No one suggested AT were at fault for letting the young gentlemen in, the general opinion seems to be that the young gentlemen were at fault for letting their natural exuberance get carried away.... and wouldn't it be nice if AT did have a few mildly assertive individuals mooching around to get all mediaeval, Biblical even, upon such transgressions? Obviously 7 hollow-points in the head might be a tad over the top but there might be an acceptable compromise.... And incidentally, the above comment should not be seen as a reflection on certain firearms officers, but rather on the collective failure of senior officers....who will doubtless close ranks to protect their pensions and entitlements. Nice of Clarry to try and toss everyone bar herself to the wolves and the subtle suggestion that Menenzes was a druggie was inspired!!!! |

| "Meantime there is doubtless some wonk from Alton Towers PR and the local council touting the myth that all is well at the magic kingdom." well there were yesturday and it was fine no one is questioning that these people are morons, but given the nature of the place i think a lot of people would find it as bad if there was lots of security, one negative incident should not detract from he majority of peoples experience, maybe its just because of where i am from i am use to dealing with numbskulls like this and it really doesnt bother me, i have ex[erience much worse ona daily basis on my deoorstep, if we called the police they wouldnt come and so why should they waste there time dealing with what was an essentially minor incident

| Pete, Respect to you for your restraint, it was a difficult situation to deal with and you did just the right thing (as no one in the queue was willing to even assist you verbally). As for the $4ithead scumbags... I have said it before and I will say it again, we need to get rid of the bleeding heart liberal twats who would probably want to get them free passes to AT so that they will feel better about this nasty world. The next thing we need to do is to apply ASBO's...... Midnight style...... Axe their Sodding Balls Off. At least we would not need to deal with their knuckle-dragging offspring and it would probably allieviate their testosterone fuelled exuberance!! Regards Midnight

| I have sent an email off to AT. Got the standard reply of something like ' we appreciate your comments, someone will respond to you within 7-10 days!' Well thanks a bunch AT... The problem happened last week, not next week. Don't really think I'm going to get any sort of resolution, nor do I expect them to employ 100 new security staff (but any excuse to bring in a few more 'European' nationals, although there would probably be 133 coming over, not 100... but that's another story...) but it would/will be interesting to see how they handle their reply. Pete
