I have a vodafone mobile - my work one.

For the first year I had it, I got all sorts of texts and mass mailing things I could do nothing about. I suspect that someone (Susan her name was) had given her work (somethign to do with Lexus) the wrong number. It was quite entertaining for a while. As all the texts and service messages from Lexus were incoming, I couldn't do much other thatn text back (at a cost to my work) to tell them it wasn't her number. RRPITA!

Helen,

You may want to call Vodafone Customer Service to check your tarrif / Price plan for you Modem as from my somewhat out dated knowledge of Mobile phones. A data device eg a Modem should be on a data only Tariff / Price plan so they only work for Data. So as a modem or to send SMS messages
*They shoud not accept voice calls* opps missed this out

Why don't you try taking the SIM out of the modem and drop it into your mobile - vodafone and O2 always used to work in each others phones as they use the same frequency - I guess that they haven't changed. then phone yourself up. Put the SIM back into the modem and send snotty emails to whoever you feel like. Alternatively miss out the first bit and send snotty emails to all and sundry.
