I generally avoid this problem by using good old fashioned cash. However you do get some funny looks when you pay for anything over around 20 quid with cash - there's either the look of confusion where you feel you need to explain that the funny paper stuff is called money and actually is a legal way of purchasing things or the look of disdain as they instantly decide that you're obviously a numptie who can't get credit - but then again I've got to be a bit odd as i actually prefer the Branston beans....

Tescos self service tills the best place to use a nicked credit card. Why - you dont need a pin number you just scan the card and bingo the jobs a good en.

The self tills were removed from our store when it was refrubished and the floor space doubled with a big new mezzaine floor.

I refuse to use the self service till as it is one step away from being the only option...... and that means Tesco can get rid of X number of staff to make even more money and close more local shops!

When I have had managers trying to drag me away from the normal tills to use the self serv ones it really pisses me off.......if I wanted to use it I would, the fact that its simple to use and I dont want to use it dont mean I'm simple!

I have been known when pestered by manager to use selfservice to threatened to dump my shopping and piss of to Morrisons to do my shopping MY WAY and in PEACE!

Oh and their meat is rancid!

DONT USE THE SELF SERVICE ........USE THE ASSISTED CHEQUE OUT OR LOOSE IT.....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
