Never liked Marmite on anything, but strangely enough I don't mind a cup of OXO or Bovril now and again (reminds me of old footie match days).

As for Coffee, I love the stuff, but have to admit that I'm an uneducated drinker and always stick to Nescafe.

We had an neighbour once who works for a well known Yorkshire Tea and Coffee maker (theres a clue there somewhere), as a quality control person, so you can guess what we got for a little Christmas Pressie. Always gave us some interesting blends of coffee, particularly the Christmas blend.

i try to avoid Nescafe as much as possible. Partly because it is awful (imho) but also because it is made by Nestle.

Sorry Scubee, just had to say that! Feel free to go back to your coffee fetish!!

Apologies for the Marmite thingy on your thread, merely a follow up, or perhaps a throw up if you eat to much.

We still see the guy who's the QC person and yes he still gives us a little "fell off a wagon" gift now and again. Sadly even though I've opened the packs and they've probably long passed their best by date, they're still in the cupboard and will probably get served up to some unsuspecting gatecrasher who comes round for a meal. Freeloaders, what do they expect.

Oh, and we moved away so we wouldn't get accused of poisoning the neighbours with instant coffee.

P.S. we're more sophisticated now, as we have gone onto fruit tea's and, well, they're OK but you can only handle one or two cups a day before you have a proper drink.

nooooooooo freeze opened ground coffee it has no moisture so doesnt bind but it keeps it fresh.

I beleive that in spanish or portuguese Nescafe means Not Coffee - quite apt really, thats the muck work buys and not even gold blend.
I have to say though that when I was working in Hayes driving past the nescafe plant there was always a nice aroma
